Queensland Gas Work License and Authorisation.
Under section 726 of the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004, a person must have a current gas work license for Type A gas work to carry out work on gas fittings or appliances. Licenses are given from three to six years, after which they are to be renewed. A valid current Queensland gas work license is mandatory for installing, repairing, testing, certifying, removing or altering any appliance used for heat, light or power where LPG is the fuel.
